My Dream Story....
I love, love, LOVE dreaming. I’ve had an active dream life for as far back as I can remember! The emotions and feelings that I experience in dreams just can NOT be matched in waking reality. I’ve suffered from insomnia since childhood and I now believe there is a reason for this. Sleep deprivation has spontaneously catapulted me into other states of consciousness. I’ve experienced numerous experiences of sleep paralysis (waking up but your body is unable to move), false awakenings (dreaming of waking up) and lucid dreaming (becoming aware you are dreaming in the dream).
A few short examples of life-changing dream experiences that I have experienced:
1) I met my husband in a dream about 12 years before I met him in waking life!
2) A close friend passed away and came to visit me in a dream 3 days after his death. He came about a year later as well with a message for me. We had a lot of fun walking through walls together in a dreamscape!
3) When I first started dating my husband, I was going through quite the spiritual and emotional crisis and was going to end things with him. His father came to me in a dream and convinced me otherwise in the most compassionate and magical way! I never got to meet my now father-in-law as he passed away 6 years before that dream took place.
4) I’ve accepted that I was going to die in countless dreams. These dreams usually involve a feeling of falling (which is a common dream experience). Instead of jolting awake in bed, I keep falling but never hit the ground. Instead, I can feel my soul separate from my body into a void that is very black and sometimes noisy. I’ve currently never made it past this state before I wake up.
I’d love to help you understand what your dreams are trying to tell you! I also encourage everyone to try and remember their dreams and keep a dream journal. Lucid dreaming is also a great tool, but it takes practice and dedication to accomplish. Dream on!
